You will be someone who can work as part of our close-knit team of advisors, being able to both make suggestions and learn from others as we work together to find solutions to the tax issues that our clients face.

You will bring to the team:

Technical excellence

You will have specialist interest in an area of tax plus an awareness of other key areas. You will have confidence to provide advice but will be open enough to ask for support where you need it. You will embrace the development of your technical skills and will keep abreast of the latest emerging issues. You will have demonstrated this by being CTA and/or ACA qualified and will have  proven experience, most likely  within a “top 10” or large independent firm.

A Client Service ethos

You will put the client first, sometimes by telling them unwelcome news. You will try to understand what they need, not necessarily what they have asked for. You will deliver advice in a way which the client can understand and you will present solutions to the client in a commercial context.

Team working

You will respect the talents of the team as they will respect yours. You will work collaboratively with them to deliver the best we can for our clients. You will seek support from, and give support to, the team. You will be aware of the specialisms we offer and take the opportunities to introduce these to clients as appropriate.

Work life balance

You will ensure that you maintain a healthy balance between your work and personal life, taking time to keep what you do in your professional life in perspective. You will see your time outside of work as valuable and will ensure that you take down time as needed.

As a Senior Manager within the team, you will take the lead on numerous client matters, bringing your analytical skills and experience to find appropriate tax solutions. You will work closely with our Partner group in managing  client relationships and ensuring that the work we do is technically excellent and delivers commercial reward for the firm. You will have the opportunity to develop your role into new areas as well as to develop the offering of the firm. You will also guide and mentor other members of the team.

We offer a competitive reward package which will reflect the ability and experience you can bring to the role.

We can offer full support for flexible working – we strive to achieve the right balance for our people, enabling us to deliver excellent client service whilst allowing them to build their career without sacrificing their personal priorities.

We encourage and support career development and we will work with you through our review processes to agree the best way you can develop your professional career with the firm.

We also offer a realistic opportunity of progression within the firm for all members of our team.

The TACS Partnership is a team of talented and experienced tax professionals with a simple philosophy – we are dedicated to providing independent, expert, client-focused advice at a realistic cost.

The firm was founded in 1992 with a vision to offer an alternative source of quality tax advice to that provided by the major accounting firms and our business has gone from strength to strength since that time.

Our client base is very broad and includes accountancy and legal firms seeking specialist tax advice for their clients, high net worth individuals and owner managed businesses.

The focus of our work is advisory based, rather than compliance, and we deal with interesting, challenging and rewarding work each day.

To apply for this role, please forward a copy of your curriculum vitae to experts@tacs.co.uk and we will be in touch (but no agencies please).
