We act for solicitors and forensic accounting firms where tax issues arise in cases such as divorce, professional negligence and insurance claims.

As an example we have recently helped a client who had been let down by a former advisor. This led to a potential additional tax bill of c £300,000. Under the clients duty to mitigate any loss he approached us to review the position. We managed to establish an alternative claim with the Revenue which reduced the overall tax bill to the order of £50,000, which is now being sought through the former advisor’s insurers.
